Do all ceiling tiles offer the same fire resistance rating?
No. Fire resistance values of ceiling tiles will vary depending on the manufacturing process used. For example, MINRALITE ceiling panels are produced as either fire rated (for use in fire rated floor/ceiling design) or fire resistant panels. The Technical Data Sheets are a good source for the Flame Spread Classification, Fuel Contribution and Smoke Developed test results.
